Venue: South Surrey Arena
Game Time: 4pm
Last Year’s Matchup: The Spruce Kings went 6-1-0-1 vs the Eagles last year.
Season Series: Surrey leads 1-0 with a 4-1 win in the Spruce Kings 4th game of the season.

 Game Overview:
Not exactly a David vs Goliath matchup, as these are the two bottom teams in the BCHL. Prince George is currently on a five game losing streak, and Surrey’s reached 10 after a 7-0 defeat Friday against the Chilliwack Chiefs. One of those streak will end Sunday when the Eagles play host to the Spruce Kings. Prince George has scored the fewest goals in the BCHL, but might have a chance to boost that up as Surrey has allowed the most in the league. Both teams are in need of a win, and a win for PG would greatly help as they try to claw back in range of the Coquitlam Express who hold the 4th spot in the Mainland Division.
Surrey Home Record: 3-10-0-0
Eagles Leading Scorer: Ty Westgard 4 goals/15 assists/ 19 points

Prince George Road Record: 2-10-0-2
Spruce Kings Leading Scorer: Corey Hoffman 6 goals/ 11 assists/ 17 goals

Player to watch:
Spruce Kings:
He has already doubled his point production from last season, and Alex Stoley isn’t even halfway through the season. He has been paired with Matt Stief, and the two returning Spruce King blueliners have had a strong connection. He doesn’t have any goals, but has eight assists, and his first of the season came in the first meeting with Surrey. The last time the Eagles played the Spruce Kings Adam Burnett had three separate minor penalties. Look for the defenseman to reign that in a little bit, and contribute offensively this time around.

Eagles:
In their last meeting, Ty Westgard was a force on the ice, playing aggressively, and picking up a pair of assists. He wasn’t on the Surrey roster the last time these two teams met, but John Wesley has been the best point per game producer for Surrey. The former PJHL rookie of the year in 13/14 spent last year with the Surrey Eagles, and the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL. The White Rock native has 17 points in 16 games, and has five power play goals to lead his team in that category.
