Player to watch:
Spruce Kings:
He got off to a hot start, but Parker Colley has slowed down recently. He was playing up with Hoffman and LeBrun, but was moved down in favour of Kyle Johnson. Colley is one of the more skilled players on the Spruce Kings roster, so tonight could be a breakout game for him. Also from the Vancouver NE Chiefs, Kyle Johnson has had some very strong play recently. He scored against Trail last night for his second goal of the season (both goals were against the Smoke Eaters) and has been responsible defensively as well.

Vipers:
One of the most talented plyers in the league is Liam Finlay. Last year he was one of the top point producers in the BCHL, and this season is now different. With 12 points in 11 games Finlay uses tremendous speed and skill to make time and space for himself. Although it might now be for the right reasons, Riley Brandt could be another player to focus on. With 36 penalty minutes this season, Brandt knows how to play aggressively, and if the Spruce Kings start falling behind in the game, he is one of the players that could play enforcer if anyone from Prince George starts getting chippy.

In the Standings:
Prince George is currently tied for last in the BCHL with the Victoria Grizzlies. In the Mainland division they sit one point back of Surrey, and eight points back of the Chilliwack Chiefs who are in the 4th and final playoff position.
In a very tough Interior Division, Vernon is in third place. A win tonight would be big for the Vipers, as all three teams ahead of them hold games in hand, so Vernon won’t want to be falling behind.

Goaltending:
Has to be huge for the Spruce Kings tonight. After allowing seven goals on 26 shots last night, whoever’s in net tonight needs to have a big game. Trail is a good team, but Vernon has even more firepower, and the top line is deadly. If Tanguay or McCloskey can’t bail their team out of some situations, it could be another long night.

Captain LeBrun:
Was very strong since coming back from his suspension, but scoring totals have dropped off lately. LeBrun is a power forward who get his team fired up with a big hit, but for this team to succeed, he also needs to get back on the scoresheet.
